She Spoke in Silence Project

She Spoke in Silence is a collaborative 2026 project founded by Natasha Hilbers, creator of She Served AU, and delivered in partnership with resident artist Melisa Western.Created for survivors of Military Sexual Trauma (MST), the program offers a safe, trauma-aware space to express what words often cannot.Through mixed mediums — painting, sculpting, and guided creative process — participants are supported to gently externalise lived experience at their own pace.Melisa, an NDIS-accredited art therapist and certified trauma-informed coach, leads the artistic component with care, consent, and deep respect for each individual’s story.Together, this collaboration provides the kind of therapy many don’t realise they need — creative, embodied, and profoundly impactful across layers of healing.
